Where is it streaming? How to find out without opening 5 apps
Someone tells you to watch Beef. You nod, you make a mental note, and later that evening you open Netflix. It’s not there. You try Disney+. Not there either. You try HBO, then Viaplay, then Apple TV+. Nothing. You give up and watch something else.
This happens constantly. You get a recommendation, but nobody tells you where it’s actually streaming. And no streaming service makes it easy to find out.
The app-hopping problem
The average household has three to four streaming subscriptions. Each app has its own search, its own layout, its own way of burying the thing you’re looking for under rows of stuff you’re not.
None of them want you to leave. So none of them will tell you that the film you want is on a different service. You’re left bouncing between apps, typing the same title over and over, hoping one of them has it.
It’s a waste of time. And it’s solvable.
Lookup tools
There are lookup tools that tell you where something is streaming. Search a title, get an answer. They work for quick checks. But they’re just search tools - you look something up, get your answer, and leave. No way to track what you want to watch.
Check and add in one step
This is what sjow.tv does differently. When you look up a film or series, you see which streaming services have it - right on the page. But you can also add it to your watchlist in the same step. You don’t even need an app. It’s a website.
So instead of: hear about a film, forget the name, remember it three days later, search five apps, give up - it becomes: hear about a film, search it, see where it’s streaming, add it to your list. Done.
Your watchlist can be shared too. Add a film, and your partner sees it. Next time you’re both on the couch, you’ve got a list ready - with streaming info already attached.
The 10-second version
Someone mentions a great series at lunch. You pull out your phone, search it on sjow.tv, see it’s on HBO, and add it to your shared watchlist. That evening, it’s right there when you sit down. No scrolling, no searching, no “what was that show called again?”
That’s it. The whole point is to spend less time looking and more time watching.
